Yoga for Beautiful Hair

Sasangasana (Rabbit Pose For Hair Loss Prevention):

Instructions to follow: 

  • First, bend on your knees and then lean forward. Try to touch your knees by your head. 
  • Extend your hands and try to touch your feet as well as you can.
  • Take extra care while bending and flexing so that you won’t hurt your muscles while stretching.

Sarvangasana (The Shoulder Stand Pose):

Instructions to follow: 

  • To begin with this pose, first, lie down on your back.
  • Then slowly and gently raise your legs in the upward direction and try to point them towards the ceiling or the sky depending on if you are exercising indoors or outdoors. 
  • Make your body rest on your shoulders and the back of your neck.
  • Place your hands at the center of your spine, so that they can provide the required support to your body.

Adho Mukha Svanasana (The Downward Dog Facing Pose):

Instructions to follow: 

  • To start with the pose, stand straight on your Yoga mat and then slowly bend down. Try to reach the floor with your hands.
  • Extend your head towards your feet as much as you can but don’t excessively force your body to avoid any muscle spasm. 
  • Slowly and gently place your head on the floor in the reverse position.

Pavanamuktasana (The Wind Relieving Pose):

Instructions to follow: 

  • To perform this pose, lie down on your Yoga mat facing upwards. 
  • Slowly lift and move one of your legs towards your chest.
  • To place your leg properly close to your chest, hold it with your hands.
  • Stay in that position for a while and then put your leg back to its original position. 
  • Repeat the same process with another leg.

Sirsasana (Headstand Pose):

Instructions to follow: 

  • This asana might seem a bit difficult to do but with regular practice, you will get the knack of it. To start with the pose, first, invert your body.
  • Then slowly and carefully try to stand on your head.
  • Your body will need support which you should give using your forearms by placing hands on the back of either your neck or head.
  • If you are new to the Yoga practice, try doing this asana with the help of a wall for added support.
